  What in the Hell Were We Thinking / The Disco Years into the 80's

  what was on your mind during those halcion days of the 70's.

  when disco was king, and real men back then were required to dance.

  johnny terrio, saturday night fever, medallions and open shirts exposing much chest hair, if you had any.

  What are you talking about?! I loved the 70s and 80s!!!

  I could dance that disco music so well! Loved the beat! Didn't like the fashion, though.

  Even rap music had a nice beat back then, and wasn't as raunchy.

  KH meeting - boring!

  i'm not a jw but a friend of mine who is a jw invited me to the memorial service at the kh this year.

  i was raised catholic but now i'm agnostic/atheist.

  one thing that struck me was how horribly sterile and boring the memorial service was.

  Wohooo ... last university assignment finished !

  it feels soooo good having finished the last assignment for the open university courses i've been doing - the 18th one this year .

  now i just have to revise for the exams (3 of them over 2 days) ... and if i get at least 40% then i pass, get an extra qualification and we get extra immigration points to get us on our way to canada.

  anything extra is a bonus ... distinctions would be nice but i need to get 85% in the exams for that.. although i resent the impact of the wts on my life and not being able to go to university when i should, this actually isn't a bad way to do it - you don't run up massive debts like current students do and because you have more experience probably do better at a subject than if you are starting out.

  am i being spiteful?

  my doctors surgery has a jw on the reception and i dont want her to have access to my notes in am going to ask the doctor to make sure she is denied access is this being spiteful?

  she would not talk to me otherwise so why should she have acesses to my most personal information.

  I only recent the people that sit on their butts and do nothing while other taxpayers pay for their mere existence (i.e, people collecting welfare while being able to work, career criminals).

  Here's one of my personal beliefs:

  There isn't just ONE creator, but rather a GROUP of creators. A supreme being couldn't have created everything! I think he must've delegated the creative task to many, thus many share in the credit for the whole creation of all that's in our planet Earth.

  I've attended weddings, funerals and other events at different churches, but I could never join any other religious organization.

  I've been so deeply indoctrinated by the WBTS that I couldn't fathom remotely the idea of believing in such things as life after death, going to heaven, a burning hell, baptism of infants, etc., etc., etc.
